Monday, January 16th. Usually, Mondays are pretty slow in this neck of the woods..but not here!

A fabulous couple stayed over brimming with enthusiasm for their crafts. Danielle and Lorin are innovators and creators! Danielle taught dance at a local school and had the class given’  it all so hard that it could be heard across the street! The kids were freaking out they were having so much fun! Her dance program is taking schools by storm and they’ve been invited to demo their “getting kids fit” program at a conference in the States hosted my none other than Michelle Obama! (maybe Michelle and Barak can come stay here after the November elections for a little R&R).

Lorin, on the other hand is leaving for Haiti in a few weeks to start setting up his solar ovens..you have to see these. He is hoping to change the way Haiti cooks their food buy using this mirrored structure, a completely solar device. Lorin’s grandfather invented it!! He is also looking for corporate financing if anyone reading this wants to know. FYI Haiti has less that 15 years left of tree life..and right now everyone is cooking with wood!

Thursday, November 3rd

Well, Eric Larsen just crept up the stairs to his room to give an interview to MSNBC. In another week Eric will be leading an exhibition across the ridges of Antartica, but tonight he’s just hanging by the fireplace and talking about the planet, life’s challenges when you want to cross as many frontiers as a guy like him does and books not to bring when you’re planning on reaching the summit of Everest. On March 16th @ 7pm, Ben Sures will perform his original works.  I’ve listened to The Irrelevant show two weeks in a row on Saturday mornings now and I’ve heard Ben perform both times. Ben is said to be a combination of Lyle Lovett and Jack Jackson which is good enough for me! Should be a great Friday night for all of us!
